The Escondido Adult School has been encouraging
lifelong learning in Escondido since 1968. In the early 90’s, the
administration also added a vocational emphasis with the Regional
Occupational Program offerings. We strive to meet the academic,
vocational, and personal growth interests of the community at over 30

GED Testing
The tests of the General Educational Development are
developed by the GED Testing Service of the American Council on
Education. The GED tests are designed to provide an opportunity for
adults who have not graduated from high school to earn a high school
diploma. The GED tests measure the major academic skills and knowledge
associated with a high school program of study, with increased emphasis
on workplace and higher education.
The GED test includes five separate subject areas:
Language Arts Writing, Language Arts Reading, Mathematics, Science and
Social Studies.
